The RIBA is looking for an experienced arts or heritage professional to coordinate and deliver the RIBA National Schools Programme across the Midlands and north of England.
The RIBA National Schools Programme partners RIBA members (Architecture Ambassadors) with teachers to develop collaborative and creative projects that give school children insight into architecture. To date, the programme has over 300 Ambassadors and has engaged more than 10,000 children and young people in primary and secondary schools across England.
Working with the RIBA Learning Manager for Schools & Young People, the Schools Programme Coordinator will:
- organise and deliver training sessions for participating teachers and architects
- build and manage positive relationships between participating schools and Architecture Ambassadors
- support the delivery of an end-of-year exhibition and celebration of student work
The post will be based in Birmingham with travel to the surrounding region, the Midlands and the north of England, as well as London.
